-
Blue/White/Red
- Trilogy by Kiezlowski. Superb.
-
Pulp Fiction
- When I was watching it, I was surprised and fascinated. Later on I realized
that I liked it. Very stylish. Very unusual. Music and dialogs are
superb. Great acting.
-
The Usual Suspects
- One of the best gang movies I've seen. Extraordinary story,
hard-to-predict ending, great acting. With Kevin Spacey.
-
Seven
- To describe it in few words: cops, maniac killer, no happy end.
Behind all this, slightly exhagerated message that America is sick
and wicked. There is no place for normal human life in this society.
People are struggling desperately for survival. Some drawbacks to
the religeous representation of devil and people trying to resist
him. Besides, very impressive presentation of the phenomenon of
vengeance. With Kevin Spacey.
-
Forget Paris
- The comedy of a good taste, beyond american standards.
-
Get shorty
- Comedy. Some people think it is trite and stupid, but it makes
people to laugh anyway. I like it. It's about Hollywood.
-
To Die For
- Comedy. Americans laughing on themselves. Cute ending.
-
Forest Gump
- Comedy about a man with oversimplified personality.
-
Piano
- Love story. Sensitive, emotional etc.
-

Something like that you haven't seen for ages and will not see for ages.
To be honest, it's my favorite film.
-
English Patient
- Terrific. Deep. Acting, screenplay, everything.
-
Fifth element
- Mixture of science fiction and comedy with good actors.
-
Breaking the waves
- Very powerful. By Von Trier. Starring Emily Watson, the most
talented actress of our time.
-
Stealing beauty
- Bertolucci.
-
Over the clouds
- Bertolucci.
-
People against Larry Flint
- By Forman. Larry Flint is an open-minded loving freedom american
guy who is in charge of sex-magazine. He is shocking America.

-
Life is beautiful
- Benini's comedy, turning into drama. Serious and funny.
-
Matrix
- Science-fiction, virtual reality with elements of martial arts
and eastern philosophy. Very succeessful. Outstanding screenplay.
More than 400 special effects.
-
Lolita
- Extremely succeessful film made after famous Nabokov's book.
-
Desperado
- The only succeessful film starring Antonio Banderas. Try to
count the number of bullets shut for 1 and half hours.
-
Payback
- Good tense action.
-
Rush hour
- With Jackie Chan.
-
American beauty
- With Kevin Spacey. Very good comedy, I'd say rather a
drama with good humor, great acting, excellent screenplay.
